Blue Crack

Blue Crack is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain of cannabis, the spawn of Blue Dream and the sativa Green Crack.

Description

Blue Crack is "dense by appearance", with thick tan-colored hairs,[1] but actually produces "soft, airy buds and a sweet, smooth" aroma with hints of blueberry.[2] Similarly, Medical Jane described the strain as "sweet [and] spicy, and its smooth smoke is infused with slight blueberry and sugar undertones".[1] The site's Matthew Price said, "If grown properly, the buds should have an extremely enticing and attractive, sweet lemony scent that multiplies when broken up."[1] Seeds are difficult to obtain and are not recommended for indoor growing.[3]

Effects

According to Leafly, the strain "reflects a balanced blend of its parents, with an energetic head rush from the Green that is mellowed out and mentally expansive thanks to the Blue... As a high-energy strain with moderate to long-lasting effects, Blue Crack is a popular choice for daytime medicating."[2] It is often recommended for alleviating chronic aches and pains and sometimes for anxiety, stress and depression.[3]

In his review for Medical Jane, Matthew Price wrote about the strain's effects based on its lineage. He said, "The Green Crack in its genetics will provide an upbeat head-high that is full of positive energy, where as Blue Dream provides more of a soothing, full-body high that is calming and a little spacey. By mixing these effects together (which is essentially what is happening), you get a surprisingly accurate prediction of how the Blue Crack strain will affect you."[1]

Wikileaf said the strain's effects are "numbing and soothing", though its "body high rarely results in couch-lock. Users often report that their creative juices are flowing more freely. The strain also carries traditional negative effects such as dry eyes and mouth, dizziness, and occasional paranoia."[3]
