Bubba Kush is an indica cannabis strain with genetics tracing back to the Hindu Kush landrace strains.

A company offering "premium THC infused brownies, cookies and delicious medical marijuana baked treats" also goes by the name Bubba Kush.[1]

Origin and Description

Bubba Kush's genetic trace back to the Hindu Kush landrace strains. Its specific lineage is poorly documented, though some people believe the strain was first bred on the West Coast of the United States from OG Kush and landrace genetics. Green House Seeds cultivates a unique variety of Bubba Kush using Bubble Gum and Kush.[2]

The strain has been described as "earthy" and "sweet". According to Leafly, "Despite its wide proliferation, Bubba Kush exhibits a distinctive, bulky bud structure with hues that range from forest green to pale purple."[2]

Effects

Leafly said of the strain's effects: "Its effects may begin focused in the head, but it isn’t long before the buzz reaches the rest of the body. Some might consider couchlock an inevitable consequence of Bubba Kush, making this powerhouse indica a perfect go-to strain for evening relaxation, restful sleep, or a lazy weekend at home."[2] According to Cannabis Pharmacy: The Practical Guide to Medical Marijuana, Bubba Kush is "an outstanding choice for pain and nausea".[3]

Reception

Bubba Kush was included at number seven in "Leafly's Top 10 Cannabis Strains of 2014".[4] High Times gave the strain honorable mention in its list of the "25 Greatest Strains of All Time".[5]
