Russia, officially known as the Russian Federation, is a country situated in northern Eurasia. It is a federal semi-presidential republic. From northwest to southeast, Russia shares land borders with Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland (both with Kaliningrad Oblast), Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, and North Korea.
According to Wikipedia, possession or transport of up to 6 grams (dry weight) of cannabis or 2 grams of hashish with no sale intent is punishable by a fine in Russia. Possession or transport of more than this amount is punishable by prison term. Cultivation of less than 20 cannabis plants was decriminalized (punishable by fine) in 2010 while the plant itself remains illegal. Cannabis seeds contain no controlled substances and are not regulated.
