Hi Jason. Just joined here, made a few edits and am wondering how many registered users there are on this Wiki? Any idea? How long has it been going? I ask because I see you made some edits recently. Cheers Robvanvee 06:44, 15 May 2014 (MDT)

Cool...let's make it happen! Robvanvee 09:55, 15 May 2014 (MDT)
Sounds great! --Jason (talk) 09:57, 15 May 2014 (MDT)

Take it easy man!

Hey J. I'm away for the weekend and only have my mobile phone so its impossible to edit properly. Just wanted you to know that I have just checked the recent changes page and I'm concerned you're going to burn yourself out! Take a seat in your cozy chair, skin up a bifta and leave something for me to do. :) Robvanvee 08:39, 17 May 2014 (MDT)

Hah! I appreciate your concern. I understand what you mean, but really creating those "stubs" was quite easy, because I used the same references for all of them and just copied from one article to the next (changing the name of the strain in the process). It was an easy way to knock out a big chunk of strains. --Jason (talk) 19:32, 17 May 2014 (MDT)

I see you're doing the mopping up behind me...thanks! Robvanvee 10:24, 18 May 2014 (MDT)

Hey J. Haven't chatted in a while. Hope things are good that side of the ocean! How do you reckon the wiki's faring? 2 new faces recently...The main page hits are steadily climbing. Africa is nearing its completion (at least in terms of creating countries). Have a good Friday! Robvanvee 11:26, 25 July 2014 (MDT)
Thanks for checking in! I can't tell you how great it is to have entries for nearly all African countries. Well done! We should cross the 75k page views threshold today, which is exciting. I enjoy contributing to the early stages of a wiki, but at the same time I look forward to there being a few more contributors. They will come in time. In the meantime, I continue dumping news articles and trending cannabis topics into the wiki and using Twitter to share facts, articles, and attempt to recruit participation. --Jason (talk) 08:24, 28 July 2014 (MDT)

If you don't mind my asking...

is it just the 2 of us working here? Did you start this wiki and what are your plans re getting this off the ground? How do we get more involvement? There doesn't seem to much happening on the Wikipedia cannabis project, stoners...go figure, do you expect more productivity here? Pardon my page stalking, but are you Another Believer on Wikipedia? Cheers Robvanvee 12:28, 19 May 2014 (MDT)

I replied to your message on my talk page. Robvanvee 05:27, 22 May 2014 (MDT)
You don't necessarily need more than two active editors. To quote Karsten, "In a wiki environment building and working with a community is probably the hardest part. I have worked on several wiki projects and building as well as working with the community was the most challenging part. It is frustrating if the community does not build up and on the other hand it is very frustrating to deal with the community since it tends to develop a life of its own. It is really hard work to have a healthy community. If you don't have this morale is likely to sink the more time passes."
In other words, fewer users sometimes equals fewer problems. If you have a bunch of users, then there's always a possibility that they will say, "Do things our way, or we'll quit." Then you have to either compromise your values or lose a lot of face from having all those users walk away. Leucosticte (talk) 18:11, 18 June 2014 (MDT)
You are probably right Leucosticte. And with that let me say: Welcome to Weed.Wiki! Good to know we have someone on board who has been involved in several wiki projects. We could always use some extra help. Robvanvee 06:29, 19 June 2014 (MDT)

Main page

Hey J. I was thinking, how about having a template on the main page for "strain of the week" or something like that. Perhaps "country of the week" and their respective cannabis laws. That way regular visitors will see something is happening here and may pursued a few to join. What do you think? Robvanvee 09:15, 27 May 2014 (MDT)

I am not opposed, but I am not sure I know how to get all the necessary templates created. Do you have experience with wiki design? Something else we could use are navboxes so that, for instance on any disease page, one can see other articles related to Health at the bottom of the article. --Jason (talk) 09:19, 27 May 2014 (MDT)
I have no experience with wiki design unfortunately. I'll give it some more thought. Do we have any navboxes on this wiki? Robvanvee 10:05, 27 May 2014 (MDT)
Not yet. I am used to using Wikipedia's templates, but I am unfamiliar with creating the templates themselves. I will continue doing research, and no doubt people with design and construction experience will join this wiki over time. --Jason (talk) 10:08, 27 May 2014 (MDT)
I was thinking something like this: perhaps with less text to get them to read the article. Also, the pic to the left or right but in line with the text to keep the space small thereby keeping the main page's scrolling to a minimum. If we had 1 once a week we would have time between the 2 of us (with the rest to follow) to get the article to at least a stub/start standard. We can do it with any category, I'm just thinking it keeps our main page fresh. Open to other ideas? Robvanvee 10:56, 27 May 2014 (MDT)
Ha ha. Cool! Robvanvee 11:07, 27 May 2014 (MDT)
Thanks for the great idea and the content for the Main Page! I promoted the Strain of the Week on Twitter. --Jason (talk) 11:09, 27 May 2014 (MDT)
Cool J. I'm not on twitter but great to hear! Robvanvee 11:25, 27 May 2014 (MDT)

Strain of the Week

Jack Herer is a strain of cannabis which shares its name with cannabis activist Jack Herer. In 2014, High Times included Jack Herer in its list of the "10 Perfect and Potent Strains for Special Occasions," saying the strain is appropriate during a concert. The magazine published: "Hide some Jack Herer in your shoe because this sativa will give you a sense of awareness to hear things in a way you’ve never heard before! This strain gives you electric full body tingles and keep you awake so you can really enjoy the show!"

WikiProject Cannabis

Hey J. Have you told everyone on that project about this one? I see google is picking it up quicker now. COME ON!!!! :) Robvanvee 12:14, 8 June 2014 (MDT)

I did ping WikiProject Cannabis members, or at least those who had email enabled. My goal is not to "pull" people away from Wikipedia, but I did want to let them know that they had another option if their work served more of a purpose at Weed.Wiki than Wikipedia. For example, each strain or dispensary does not need a Wikipedia article, but ideally they would have a Weed.Wiki entry. This site has so much potential--we just need a handful of dedicated editors! :) --Jason (talk) 15:07, 8 June 2014 (MDT)

Revamped main and other pages

Hey J. It looks great man! Kinda gives it some personalization. I thought the font may be a little large on the main page though. What do you think? Robvanvee 08:53, 12 June 2014 (MDT)

Thanks! I can reduce the size a bit. I am still experimenting with wiki markup. :) --Jason (talk) 09:40, 12 June 2014 (MDT)
Good job!Robvanvee 09:58, 12 June 2014 (MDT)

Tokestar Award!

Tokestar.png Please accept this Tokestar Award for your dedication, motivation and inspiration to Weed.Wiki. This award is given to those that go that extra mile for this project and also to remind them to "take a break" every now and again.--Robvanvee 03:26, 15 June 2014 (MDT)
Why, thank you! --Jason (talk) 09:51, 16 June 2014 (MDT)

Blunt /Joint

Hey J. Blunt redirects to joint, which I thought were the same thing but after further investigation...[[1]] I see they are not. So technically it shouldn't redirect. Your thoughts? Robvanvee 07:51, 18 June 2014 (MDT)

Don't worry. Created it's own page. Robvanvee 09:15, 18 June 2014 (MDT)
No prob! Thanks! --Jason (talk) 09:51, 18 June 2014 (MDT)

Any chance of you acquiring some photos for strains that don't have? Strain of the week might have to settle for a photoless edition soon...Robvanvee 10:05, 18 June 2014 (MDT)

Hmm, not personally. I thought there were quite a few images of strains already at this wiki, but I can do some more searching. I pull my images from Wikimedia Commons since they are free. --Jason (talk) 10:07, 18 June 2014 (MDT)
Looks like 4 or so strains left at Category:Files. I'll look at commons. Robvanvee 10:17, 18 June 2014 (MDT)
OK now we are really starting to run out of pics. Any ideas J? Robvanvee 07:07, 19 February 2015 (PST)
Really? There are lots of strains with images that have not yet been chosen as COTWs. Take a look at the right column on the Strains page. Maybe I should see if there is a local dispensary that will let me come in and take pictures of various strains. Also, I was thinking maybe WikiProject Cannabis at Wikipedia should organize a marijuana-themed online edit-a-thon some time (April 20?), asking people to improve Wikipedia articles about cannabis and upload pictures of strains etc. Just a thought. Maybe next year would be better because marijuana will be legal in Oregon by then. -Jason (talk) 08:19, 19 February 2015 (PST)

Technical fixes

I recommend making some config changes. See mw:Manual:Short URL, mw:Manual:$wgSitename, and mw:Manual:$wgMetaNamespace. Currently your site name is set to "MyWiki" and your meta namespace is set to "Name wiki", apparently. I'd recommend setting the former to "" and the latter to "Project". Also, I recommend installing mw:Extension:ParserFunctions. Leucosticte (talk) 01:10, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

Oregon Cannabis Tax Act

We were fixing at the same time so didnt see your edit. Robvanvee 13:04, 30 June 2014 (MDT)

No problem! I just saw "Daily Mail" and wondered if there was a Daily Mail article about OCTA. --Jason (talk) 13:33, 30 June 2014 (MDT)
There wasn't, I had just used a template from another page and forgot to remove that. Robvanvee 01:20, 1 July 2014 (MDT)

Pretty sad when googling countries in Africa and their respective cannabis laws. When I type for example..."Liberia and canna..." I inevitably get Liberia and cannibalism. Cannibalism before cannabis in Africa! It's a very different story when you type "The Netherlands and canna..." Robvanvee 03:33, 13 July 2014 (MDT)

Hah, I'll bet! Seriously, your systematic creation of Africa articles is so great to watch. Don't mind me following closely behind to create categories for images and nations.. I am a bit OCD when it comes to that stuff. I realize we may not have multiple entries for some of these categories for a while, but I suppose I am forward-thinking in that regard! --Jason (talk) 10:30, 13 July 2014 (MDT)
If we build it they will come! Thanks for that J. It's not that I'm lazy, just not familiar with the technical aspects. Robvanvee
No need to apologize! It takes an army of ants, each with their own specialized skills and interests, to build a wiki! --Jason (talk) 08:38, 14 July 2014 (MDT)

Hey J. Not quite sure how one does it now with the new cut and paste from Commons method. Before, when I would upload a photo, I would obviously do it then. Now, when creating an article I cut and past from Commons but I'm not sure what to do to attribute. I saw what you did with the Sensi Seeds pic BTW. Cheers Robvanvee 14:55, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

Hey, Rob. No need to worry about attribution when copying a file name from Commons (assuming the image has not been downloaded and reuploaded to this wiki). I am referring to when you just copy a filename and use it here. The image is still hosted at Commons (we are just linking to it). The Sensi Seeds image I credited because it is hosted on this wiki and the image is almost surely copyrighted by Sensi. --Jason (talk) 09:39, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
Got it! Thanks J. Robvanvee 09:50, 3 August 2014 (UTC)

Hey J. The Africa template is awesome! So is the N. America of course. Keep up the good work. Robvanvee 16:33, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Thanks! I think these really help with navigating from one country in a region to another, without having to always hit the "back" button. I will make similar templates for the other continents soon, too! --Jason (talk) 16:52, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Recent changes

Can't access it on my side. Yours? I get a blank page with a different url since yesterday. Robvanvee 10:58, 16 August 2014 (UTC)

Rob, I am not having any problems viewing recent changes, but I asked Brandon to look into it. --Jason (talk) 15:02, 16 August 2014 (UTC)

Hey J. I noticed your changing legislation to Legislation. It would appear that in Wikipedia's featured articles the MOS is only capitalizing the first word. Robvanvee 16:23, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Well, I had been adding "Additional Resources" sections, so I thought it would be good to be consistent with capitalization. Personally, I like using caps for important words (not a, an, the, etc.) in section headings, but at the same time I am used to Wikipedia's rules. The thing is, this is not Wikipedia, so we can do what we want. I do think consistency is good though. Do you have a strong preference either way? I am openminded. --Jason (talk) 16:48, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
You're right, this is not Wikipedia. However as things stand at the moment, we don't have our own MOS or any other "rules" for that matter and my concern is that without them anyone can do whatever they want. Should we not have some example to follow? And while I also don't want this to be a mirror site of Wikipedia, possible new editors with any wiki background will probably be familiar with their procedures. Also, Wikipedia works, and with good reason, it's taken years of evolving to become the productive machine it is so why not follow with similar procedure? Your thought? BTW personally I prefer the capitals too! Robvanvee 17:43, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
I agree with everything you say. :) And maybe, when more people join, they will feel more strongly for one way or the other. Over time, we will have to create our own manual of style. So, do we want to capitalize only the first word ("Additional resources") or allow caps for important words in section headings ("Additional Resources")? --Jason (talk) 19:18, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Another thing to keep in mind: a section title "Cannabis legislation" could probably be reduced to just Legislation, as "cannabis" is implied on a weed wiki. No big deal either way! --Jason (talk) 19:19, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Lets do the capitals, as I said I also prefer it that way. OK cool, I'll drop the "cannabis". Robvanvee 06:26, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
Sounds good! (Ah, sorry, I did not see that you already made your preference known above.) --Jason (talk) 14:33, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Hey J. Did you post something on the FB account? Just making sure we haven't been hacked? Robvanvee 17:25, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Yes, that was me! Sorry for any confusion. Wanted to remind people that they can come contribute here. :) --Jason (talk) 17:27, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
Awesome! Glad you're using it too. I'll share it with all the groups. Robvanvee 17:31, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Cinderella 99

Wow! Amazing work at the said article J! Robvanvee 07:49, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, Rob! --Jason (talk) 00:20, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Death Star and Deathstar

I see we have both under strains. Is there a difference? Robvanvee 15:15, 8 October 2014 (UTC)

Ugh, I am not sure. One sourced with little detail about the strain itself. The one with The Cannabist as a reference has more information. Perhaps the other should be merged into this one. --Jason (talk) 15:33, 8 October 2014 (UTC)

New editors and other stuff

Hey J. Have you told Beren98 from WikiProject Cannabis about this wiki? They seem keen to edit. Robvanvee 07:54, 31 October 2014 (UTC)

I have not, though you are more than welcome to send an invite. I generally wait until someone has made a few edits before I determine whether or not they are "good" editors. By good, I mean well-intentioned. I have seen some vandals disturb the WikiProject before, so I like to make sure new contributors mean to actually help the project. -Jason (talk) 14:47, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
Good point! I notice they have made 4 edits so never mind. Has everyone on that project been invited? What is Wikipedias policy on fishing editors from that site? While equaly guilty, I notice very little going on there. Why do you suppose that is? People just wanting the weed user box in their user pages? What are your thoughts on how the wiki is faring thus far? Still just you and I really. I've seen a few other "weed wikis" or variations on the name. I guess they are on a different platform and I noticed one had advertising. Is this wiki costing anything to run? Robvanvee 16:54, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
BTW - great work on the weekly improvements to SOTW! Robvanvee 17:21, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks re: SOTW. I think I sent email invites a while back to project members who had email enabled. I don't know about rules re: "fishing" editors. I am not trying to take away from the Wikipedia WikiProject... in fact, I wish it were thriving! I just believe Weed.Wiki has the opportunity to cover areas that Wikipedia cannot. Most of the strain articles here at Weed.Wiki would never survive at Wikipedia. I am fine with that. But some people might want more info than what Wikipedia has to offer re: cannabis. Most WikiProjects at Wikipedia are pretty inactive, unfortunately, so I don't think inactivity is unique to WikiProject Cannabis. If the project had someone willing to send monthly updates or collaboration invitations, etc., people might visit the project page more often. Really, project pages are only visited by people who remember to go read, or by drive-by editors who happen to see the banner on an article's talk page. I was thinking of having an online edit-a-thon on April 20 next year, for people to edit Wikipedia articles related to cannabis. Just a thought! As for this wiki, I am surprised there are not more regular editors, but I still think the site has great potential. You are killing it (in a good way!) with Facebook growth and I do think this site will become more authoritative as it continues to grow. (Regarding Facebook, I see that people much prefer pretty pictures to news or plain text updates.) It can be a challenge getting people to contribute to wikis (first register, then learn markup, then have time to donate to the wiki, etc.), BUT I do think Weed.Wiki could be the best cannabis wiki over time. Yes, there is a cost to hosting this wiki, but the company behind the .wiki TLD is fine with hosting. There may be light advertising here one day to offset costs. It would be really nice to have a few more editors from other parts of the world. Europe, Asia, Australia. What are your thoughts on WikiProject Cannabis or Weed.Wiki? I hope you are not too frustrated and enjoy contributing here when you feel like doing so. :) -Jason (talk) 18:02, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
Hey J. Been so busy, forgot to get back to you. I agree, this wiki has great potential and I'm not frustrated at all. It would be nice to have more editors but I'm sure they will come over time, as you say. I'm not involved at all in the Wikipedia project partly due to its inactivity. I'd rather focus my attention here. It would be sad to see advertising here. I've always admired that about Wikipedia, but lets see what happens in time to come. Do you believe the main page to be "full" or "full enough"? Obviously it shouldn't be too big, or there is too much to scroll through. The reason I ask is because I was thinking: as a potential editor, if I was visiting occasionally, I would like to see an active main page and while SOTW does this, it is low down on the page. Some people might not even bother scrolling down. Could we not reduce the size of the portal section, perhaps move it down on the page and introduce an Article of the Week? Something of your choosing that has recently been significantly expanded as a prerequisite for example. Maybe (I'm not sure if its even possible) reduce the intro space? Just an idea. Wow!!! Big news for Alaska! You guys are living in exiting times. Robvanvee 16:44, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
BIG news in Alaska, Oregon, Guam AND Washington, D.C.! Working on the United States elections, 2014 article now and trying to create entries for the measures which passed and failed (Florida, for example). I am open to making the main page more visually appealing and inviting to new contributors. My design experience using MediaWiki is limited, but again I think it will improve with time, and hopefully people more experience with designing wiki pages will show up and contribute. I do like the idea of a featured article and the SOTW featured prominently on the main page. Let's continue this conversation on its discussion page and play around with the flow, size, spacing, etc. Will try to work on that a bit more, after I get caught up with election results, new articles, news archive, etc. So excited! -Jason (talk) 16:51, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

Quantum Kush.jpg
Name: Quantum Kush

Variety: Hybrid
Flowering Time: 11 Weeks

For some reason I cant open our last discussion, so I'll continue here. I saw your list but we may also think of extra things later. Could we not just edit the box like I did here?

I moved our discussion specific to the infobox to the infobox talk page. Since this particular section is now not about the template parameters itself, we can continue here. Yes, I think it is fine to just use an infobox like you used here. But, it is still nice to have Template:Strains to use when appropriate. Feel free to do this as much as you want! 16:52, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
Of course, if we do manual infoboxes... it is easy to add image... see right... -Jason (talk) 16:57, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
Aaaahhhhh....looks beautiful! Perfect! I think an article like one of a strain or country perhaps looks really good with one of these. What do you think? Robvanvee 17:00, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
I like it a lot, too. I wish it could be templated, but it certainly works manually for now. -Jason (talk) 17:01, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

how do reckon the wiki is faring? We have accomplished quite a lot so far I reckon. When I say we, I mean you of course. Infoboxes, MP redesign, over half a million total views, 1,356 content pages, over 800 FB likes but still only 1,5 active editors. What are you imagining for in 2015? Robvanvee 17:07, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Hey, Rob! Yes, I have been pleased with the wiki's content growth, but I am not sure of the best way to attract more editors. (Also, I refuse to ignore your many wonderful contributions to the wiki... I am not alone!) It would be nice if a few Wikipedians and/or Wikia contributors came to help. You are totally killing it (in a good way!) on Facebook. I try to add updates and share news on Twitter, but that platform is more for trending topics and less for recruiting wiki folks. If you have any thoughts on how to recruit more contributors, I am all ears! It might require a bit of direct outreach to cannabis-related activists, groups, retail outlets and dispensaries, business owners and organizations. -Jason (talk) 17:46, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
By the way, I also gave a facelift to the Health and Strains portals. Check them out! -Jason (talk) 17:46, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Stay of prosecution

Hey J. Just out of interest. Had my day in court today after joining Fields of Green for All. I have been granted a stay of prosecution pending the outcome of The Dagga Couples constitutional hearing at some point in the future. That could take years apparently. So I can breathe easy again. Purple Haze has had a record reach on FB. Around 2100 people. Pretty cool! Robvanvee 09:35, 21 January 2015 (PST)

Rob, I am glad to hear! I enjoyed reading about The Dagga Couple and affiliated projects. Very good news for South Africa. Also, you are doing such an awesome job on Facebook! We are almost at the 1,000 *like* mark already! -Jason (talk) 09:38, 21 January 2015 (PST)
Thanks J! Yeah 1000, pretty cool. Now if only 1% edited regularly....oh well. Robvanvee 09:42, 21 January 2015 (PST)
Yeah... I did add a FB post asking people to invite a friend or better yet contribute to the wiki. Feel free to share that post, too, if you wish. It is nice to see other people sharing the Purple Haze picture! -Jason (talk) 09:55, 21 January 2015 (PST)
I am concerned that if I share too much I'll get blocked again. People seem to respond well to SOTW but could try sharing more. If I get blocked, FB may become your baby :) Are you not keen to belong to too many cannabis groups on FB? Robvanvee 10:07, 21 January 2015 (PST)
No problem. I did not know banning was possible due to sharing. Certainly don't get yourself banned, haha! I am not sure how groups work, but for Twitter I tend to only follow "official" handles for organizations, businesses, etc., and not individuals. This is regardless of their stance on cannabis (for example I would follow an anti-cannabis organization as long as they are official). I think it is important the Weed.Wiki welcome people who are for and against cannabis consumption in order to have the most accurate information. I realize Weed.Wiki is not Wikipedia, so information does not have to be 100% biased, but I think a more neutral point of view means the wiki serves as a better, honest resource of information. If this wiki was just a "pot is great!" wiki, it would not be as educational. -Jason (talk) 10:23, 21 January 2015 (PST)
Sometimes I also invite businesses and organizations/groups to add/update information about themselves at the wiki, either via private message or public message. Or, if I create a new entry about a business/organization I post the link on their account and invite them to come improve the entry and contribute to the wiki. -Jason (talk) 10:35, 21 January 2015 (PST)

Hi guys! Rachel here, aka rrrkline, I just joined at exactly 4:20!! What luck! Know nothing about this yet, just joined because my friend Cheryl Shuman... so... hopefully I can figure this out and all goes well!

Welcome, Rachel! Let me/us know if you have any questions. -Jason (talk) 16:59, 28 January 2015 (PST)

A year into it (more or less), over a million views, nearly half a million on the home page, 53 registered users and still only one really active user. Are you still feeling confident about the wiki? How is it faring compared to the other wiki's your'e actively involved with? Robvanvee 08:28, 16 April 2015 (PDT)

12 people short of 1000 on FB. Robvanvee 08:29, 16 April 2015 (PDT)
Hi, Rob! Well, I certainly wish we had more active contributors, but I enjoy contributing to the wiki and I don't see the lack of active contributors as a reason not to contribute myself. I think the traffic statistics show that Weed.Wiki is used as a resource and it will continue to grow in terms of content and activity over time. I also think that the debate about both medical and recreational marijuana, especially in the US, will keep people engaged. Weed.Wiki is the most visited of Wiki.Wiki's projects by far. I am glad our following is growing at Facebook and Twitter--thank you for your help with this. I hope you are not discouraged and will continue to contribute when you can. -Jason (talk) 08:34, 16 April 2015 (PDT)
Not discouraged, just wondering how you feel. I'll continue being involved (albeit occasional) as it's something I'm passionate about. So which is the least visited project and what happens to a project like that? Does it have a shelf life? Robvanvee 08:52, 16 April 2015 (PDT)
Glad to hear! Do you mean at Wiki.Wiki? Some people launch projects then never get around to adding much content, if any at all. These domains will not be renewed when the domain registration expires, but that is certainly not the case with active projects such as this one. Pages like Strains, Recipes mean this wiki will be a good resource for years to come! -Jason (talk) 09:00, 16 April 2015 (PDT)
Cool! Robvanvee 09:12, 16 April 2015 (PDT)

New user

Just opened to find a request from a new user (that's a first for me), went through what seemed to be the process, added and welcomed the new person. Hope that's OK. Robvanvee 01:31, 26 July 2015 (PDT)

Of course! By all means. I am glad you were able to get to it faster than I could. Thanks for helping out! -Jason (talk) 07:36, 26 July 2015 (PDT)

I notice we can no longer see how many views a page has had since its creation. Why is that? Robvanvee 00:28, 7 August 2015 (PDT)

Hi, Rob. I am not sure, but I've posted a note on Brandon's talk page to see if he knows. FYI, I am no longer working on the .wiki project in a full-time capacity, but I do still hope to contribute to as a volunteer when I have the time and ability. -Jason (talk) 11:27, 11 August 2015 (PDT)
Hi Rob. I've turned off the page views counters because they quadruple the size of the servers needed to host the wikis and it just isn't worth the expense. I like the functionality too, and to know which pages are getting the most traffic. Perhaps we can figure out some sort of work around. Cheers Brandon CS Sanders (talk) 18:25, 11 August 2015 (PDT)
